Vet Pet Shop At Summerhill is a new on-line shop offering ‘veterinary waiting room’ type products to Summerhill Veterinary Centre clients and other internet users.

A visit to the vets can be a stressful time, and it is not always easy to look at the waiting room products while your dog pulls on his lead or your cat meows in her basket. So we have set up our on-line shop so that you can browse through our products from the comfort of your own home. Also like many veterinary practices we are limited by space to stock all the things we’d like to, however on-line we are able to have a much more comprehensive range of products. We are different from other on-line shops because we offer a personal service to our customers either at the Veterinary Centre or on the telephone. Our team of veterinary nurses can advise you on our full range of products and help you fit items such as harnesses to your pet. Our head nurse, Nadine Fletcher has extensive training and experience in pet behaviour counselling, and so can give in-depth advice on anti-anxiety products and training aids.

Summerhill Veterinary Centre is a 5 vet small animal practice in Fakenham, Norfolk. We primarily care for dogs, cats and rabbits, but also commonly treat ferrets, guinea-pigs and other small rodents. We offer a comprehensive range of products. If you need to groom your pet we have Mikki combs, brushes and nail clippers. We also stock shampoos and ear cleaners. To keep those fleas at bay, we offer non-prescription flea products for your pets (Frontline spot on) and for your home (Indorex and Skoosh). To calm your pet in stressful situations our range includes homeopathic items (Serene um and Anxiety drops) and pheromone items (Feliway and DAP). If your dog’s behaviour isn’t perfect, check out our training aids; harnesses and head collars from the Halti and Cananc gentle leader range, to clickers, muzzles and sound therapy cds. Everyone loves to see their pet play and we have a full range of Kong and other toys for your dog or cat. Make their play time extra special by filling those toys with treats such as Kong ziggies, stuff’n paste and snaps, and watch them try to get the treats out! Our miscellaneous category covers all those handy items that will make your life easier, such as pill givers, Mikki boots, tick removers, and Elizabethan collars (Funcols). NEW INITIATIVE - From December '08;

Well cat for life is an initiative set up by the Feline Advisory Bureau (FAB). Cats are masters of disguise and can hide signs of illness so well that diseases can often be serious before obvious signs are seen. So FAB has outlined the recommended health checks a cat needs at various stages of its life, in order to catch early changes. Once a disease process is detected it can then be managed, so it's progression can be slowed or stopped. At Summerhill Veterinary Centre we are offering a free check for all cats with one of our Veterinary nurses. Your cat will have a full clinical examination, and have it's blood pressure monitored. In addition you will be given a well cat log book, which is packed full of useful information on health issues, as well as outlining what checks and tests your cat needs at various stages of it's life.
